How do I use the water propagation method for my cutting box?

  1. Simply fill an empty jar, bottle, glass or whatever you have suitable laying around with fresh water. (Try out mimicking soil conditions by using an opaque container).
  2. Place your new house plant cutting in the water making sure the node/aerial root is submerged as this is where your plants new roots will grow from.
  3. Let roots develop until they are at least 3-5 cm in length. Once those roots have formed you should start to see secondary roots coming off them. The stronger the
root system, the best chance of survival your house plant will have when moving over into your chosen substrate.
  4. Once the plant has grown a strong root system simply pot it up into the appropriate substrate of your choosing. We have the perfect pre-made Houseplant Soil Mix  for it, just in case.
