Opuntia microdasys albispina, a fascinating cactus variety renowned for its distinctive appearance and charming attributes. Commonly known as the Bunny Ear Cactus, this succulent marvel is native to Mexico and boasts flattened pads covered in fine, white glochids, which are hair-like spines that give the plant a velvety, ethereal texture. The albino spines provide a stunning contrast against the vibrant green pads, creating an enchanting visual display.

Despite its diminutive size, the Bunny Ear Cactus can reach heights of around 12 inches, forming low, compact mounds. In the spring, this delightful cactus surprises with the emergence of bright yellow flowers along its edges, creating a striking contrast against the green and white backdrop. These blooms add a touch of natural elegance to its overall appearance. Resilient and easy to care for, Opuntia microdasys var. albispina thrives in well-draining soil and loves the warmth of full sun, making it an ideal choice for both novice and experienced succulent enthusiasts.

Not toxic to humans or animals.
