Propagation Techniques

Water Propagation:

Fill an empty jar/bottle with water. Try mimicking soil conditions using an opaque one. Place your new cutting in the water making sure the node/aerial root is submerged. Let roots develop until they are 3-5 cm in length or even longer. The stronger your root system, the best chance of survival when moving over into soil. Once you have a strong root system simply pot up into appropriate soil mix for you plant.

Sphagnum moss Propagation:

Fill an empty container with slightly damp moss. Place your new cutting in the moss making sure the node/aerial root is covered. Let roots develop until they are 3-5cm in length or even longer. The stronger your root system, the best chance of survival when moving over into soil. Once you have a strong root system simply pot up into appropriate soil mix for you plant.
